Briton Engineering is pleased to share the following announcement from Midlothian Snowsports Centre:
We are delighted to announce the opening of the new Hillend Fun Slope. The 130 metre slope was designed by snowsports firm Briton Engineering and includes three different type of pitches, jumps and other features to appeal to everyone from beginners to elite athletes.
National Performance Coach for Freeski at Snowsport Scotland, Murray Buchan says 'there's nothing in Scotland at this level.'
The video shows Scottish and GB Park and Pipe riders testing the new terrain:
Snowflex technicians completed the design and build project this summer despite challenges posed by the global pandemic. Briton Engineering is looking forward to seeing a resurgence in Freestyle talent from the area, which already has a rich history of producing world class snow sport athletes.
The new fun slope is of part of Destination Hillend, a £13.8 million capital project to develop the centre into a multi-activity leisure facility.
